A Dual Critics Review St. Augustine’s Limelight Theatre is staging the wildly entertaining “Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and then some)” during November 22 – December 22, 2019 in the Koger-Gamache Black Box Theatre. A DUAL CRITICS REVIEW St. Augustine’s has opened the Florida debut of Fun Home, a moving, heart-gripping musical (July 26 – August 25, 2019), on the Matuza Mainstage. The story has an unusual origin: it was adapted from a graphic true-life memoir written and illustrated by American cartoonist Alison Bechdel, titled “Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic.” The book, which took over seven years to complete, was well-received after publication in 2006; both Time Magazine and the New York Times listed it as one of the best books of the year. DUAL CRITICS THEATRE REVIEW St. Augustine’s Limelight Theatre opened its 26th season with the revealing comedy “The Full Monty” on September 21. It will remain on the Matuza Main Stage through October 22, 2017. The musical is based on a 1997 British film of the same name, set in Sheffield, England. Playwright Terrance McNally created an Americanized version set in Buffalo, New York, a steel town much like the original. He wrote the book, the music and lyrics are by David Yazbeck.
