"The JCAC has called for a protest to raise attention to the rates of COVID-19 in JSO prisons. We saw the news break yesterday that within a week the rates of positive tests for COVID-19 in JSO jails went from 0 to 71 inmates. This is without all of the inmates being tested." - Sara, an organizer with JCAC.

"I've been protesting every weekend because i know firsthand what it feels like to be mistreated by the police and… they need an accountability program. JSO takes 40% of our budget in the city when things need to be reallocated for the community. We don’t have enough money to give air conditioning to the schools here in Florida, why are we militarizing the police?" - Jessica
