The Museum of Science and History has a little something for all ages, and the MOSH Bash is a continuation of that mission. Celebrating 75 years of science, history and education, the MOSH Bash will revisit the museum’s significant achievements and memorable exhibits with a family-friendly event followed by an adults-only rooftop extravaganza.

The MOSH Bash will be held from 6-9pm, November 19th, at the museum (1025 Museum Circle) followed by an after party until midnight. The rooftop after party includes live music from Sea Cycles and Tomboi, gastronomic bites from Chef’s Garden, and an open bar. Tickets for both events are available online at themosh.org/moshbash or by calling 396-MOSH. Discounted combo tickets are also available.

Communications Director Sharif Frink says the event will recognize the “Diamond Anniversary” with an interactive experience with exhibit tours, brain teasers and pop-up science shows for a mix of science, history, and fun. Food is catered by Chef’s Garden and local libations from Bold City Brewery.

“We’re going to have all kind of things including Mario Kart in the Planetarium, DJ Josh Kent, unlimited food and two drink tickets,” says Frink. “We are going to have quite a few surprises.”

Over the years, MOSH has continued to expand its services and enrichment programs and events such as Little Learners, Cosmic Concerts, and MOSH After Dark. There are currently 12 exhibits including a signature exhibit at the Jacksonville International Airport and one traveling exhibit, BODY WORLDS Rx – Prescription for Healthy Living. A journey through MOSH takes visitors on a crash course in history, science and health.

“In our 75th year of continuous community service, we have focused on reflecting, celebrating, and planning for our future. We have evolved with our community since our beginning as the Jacksonville Children’s Museum in 1941 and remain committed to present[ing] relevant, inspiring and educational exhibitions and programs,” says MOSH Executive Director Maria Hane. “MOSH reached nearly 240,000 people this year, and we are excited to begin 2017 with a vision for growth that will carry us far into the future.”
