Citizens rally behind the MOCA at the December Art Walk after Council President Clay Yarborough threatened to pull funding over the display of a reclining nude. Turnout still filled the steps of City Hall, despite the fact that day was already won. The day before Art Walk, the Mayor’s office indicated that it is a violation of the 1st Amendment for our city government to determine the kind of art displayed, or to pull funding in order to control the art displayed. #IStandWithMOCA
