WANEE FEST – 10 years of music & fun

Something special is in store for us this April 10-12th out at the Spirit of the Suwanee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida. The 10th anniversary of the Wanee Festival will take place. And since it has been reported that The Allman Brothers Band will stop touring after 2014, it may just be the last time anyone gets to see them Jam out live at the SOSMP ever again. It was just over four years ago that 29-year-old aspiring musician Nicholas Williams moved from Chicago to the Jacksonville area to take a job as a summer lacrosse coach. Luckily for the River City, Williams’ temporary move became a permanent one. What began as a simple tribute to a sliver of Beaches history has evolved into a holiday tradition all its own. For 16 years, the members of the BayStreet band have come together to host the annual Pier Dance to benefit families in the Beaches communities. The 16th annual Pier Dance, sponsored by Rock Solid Business Law, PLLC, will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16 at the historic Casa Marina Hotel.
