GIANTS ATTACK BIRMINGHAM'S BLITZ LATE IN 2013 HOME OPENER

The Giants, who started off slow, ultimately survived Birmingham’s best effort by a score of 108-90. Leading scorer for the night was Anthony Jackson with 21 points to go along with 5 steals. Rookie, Elijah Smith, provided a spark with 12 points and 14 rebounds to highlight his home debut. Assistant coach David Graham called the win a, “gritty, grind-it-out type of win. Jax GIANTS update 1-10-13

on January 9th the Jacksonville Giants matched up against the Savannah Grizzles at a neutral site game hosted at Yulee High School. Jermaine Bell led the Giants with 29 points, 10 rebounds, 5 steals and 5 blocks. Anthony Jackson contributed 23 points off the bench including a crowd pleasing alley-oop to himself. “Giants came out and established the tempo early in the game with the pressure in defense and precision offense.” Head Coach Kevin Water said after the win. ABA Jacksonville Giants Suffer First Ever Regular Season Defeat

Coming off of the team’s most exciting victory in its two year existence this past Saturday against the Gulf Coast Flash, the Giants were in for yet another fight against the Experience.
