The Trailblazing Women of JFRD

“They’re not asking me to do anything other than what she’s done. So I can do it too.” Since Mayor Lenny Curry appointed Keith Powers to be the permanent Director/Fire Chief in 2019, the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department (JFRD) has taken on a different face.  Powers believes it’s vital

Fast and Furious 904

June 17, 2022
Over the last few months Jacksonville news outlets have reported on local law enforcement’s crackdown on street racing. If you haven’t heard the news or heard them ripping down your street, let me clue you in: The underground car scene has been growing bolder and bolder by taking car meets

Shaping Local

May 19, 2022
These photos may be black and white, but finding your next magic surfboard is not. There are more surfers today than ever before, but the distance between surfers’ hands and  boardmakers has only increased with the influx. Surf industry tycoons used this boom as an opportunity to exploit and taint

This is believed to cleanse impurities and to re-establish harmonious relationships with both themselves and the natural

February 2, 2022
It’s 2022 and time we find new ways to spend date night rather than at an expensive restaurant or at the movie theater. Now I’m not saying these are bad date nights, but spicing up your weekly routine will more than likely spice things up in your relationship. The pandemic
