When the curtains rose and the spotlights came on, my long-lens Nikon was fixed right in the middle of the stage to catch Cher as she stepped out in all of her splendor at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville. 30,000 Music Lovers and Farm Supporters Attend 34th Farm Aid in Alpine Valley

FARM AID 2019 PHOTO ESSAY Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp organized the first Farm Aid concert in 1985 to raise awareness about the loss of family farms and to raise funds to keep farm families on the land. joined the Board of Directors in 2001. The organization has raised $57 million to promote a strong and resilient family farm system of agriculture. It’s a nonprofit organization whose mission is to keep family farmers on the land.
