Tree Hill Nature Center uses its limited budget, dedicated volunteers, and committed staff to oversee the care of 50 acres in the middle of Arlington. Youth educational programs are critical to the mission of , but the hallmark work being done is protecting those acres to serve as contiguous and robust habitat for native plants and animals. Hen Fruit at Tree Hill

Tree Hill Nature Center strives to protect and promote the native flora and fauna that exist in northeast Florida. Tree Hill works towards this goal through education programs, where discussion topics with students include biodiversity, adaptation, and competition for resources. Volunteer work days throughout the year provide an opportunity to remove non-native species such as the Dioscorea bulbifera, commonly known as the air potato vine. Reflections! Tree Hill Shines on the New Year

Tree Hill Nature Center has much to be thankful for when looking back over 2016. Here are just a few of the highlights from this past year: The continued and generous support of JM Family Enterprises allowed for the construction of the ‘Hen Hotel.’ This spacious and well ventilated two-story structure is home to happy hens laying an egg a day. The school children and visitors enjoy identifying the various breeds and watching the chickens take dust baths and scratch around the gardens for bugs. Autumn Active!

Fall is finally starting to arrive in north Florida! The morning air is chilly. The humidity is gone, and we can open our windows to enjoy cool breezes. At Tree Hill Nature Center, our staff and volunteers welcome the change in weather as do our animals.
