Angie Nixon has made remarkable strides for our city. Recently reelected to represent District 13, she’s a tireless advocate for stricter gun reform, equal access to resources, a cleaner environment, better education and creating a safe place for the next generation to grow up. There truly is no one more deserving of the Best Local Hero title. 

 

Best Social Justice Crusader 

A Jacksonville native who has trodden through tragedy and hardship, Angie Nixon has made it her mission to protect individuals and communities from similar experiences. The Florida State Representative for District 13 is a testament to perseverance, dedication and hope.
