Not all heroes wear capes—some wear scrubs. This year’s best first responder is Ascension St. Vincent’s Clay County’s Adrienne Geathers. No stranger to accolades, Geathers also snagged the Daisy Award in 2022 for extraordinary nurse leadership. Known for showing up on her days off, diving into the tough stuff and fostering a supportive, loving work environment, she’s basically the MVP of keeping things running smoothly in highly chaotic — life and death —situations.
