Campanelle pasta, Arrabiata sauce, both made right here in Jacksonville by a master Chef and his team right here in Jacksonville are waiting for you at Native Sun Kitchen + Market in Jacksonville Beach.
Going out in the age of Corona hasn’t been as much of an option, and a lot of us are cooking at home. To support those safe decisions, for a lot of restaurateurs that means doing something differently, from online cooking classes to more convenient take-out. That’s why you can find CuliVino’s line of sauces, pizza kits, pasta and more– straight from Chef Tom Gray’s kitchen at Prati Italia.

Here in Jacksonville, Chef Tom is one of our star chefs, a two-time James Beard Award nominee, whose past restaurants include Bistro AIX, where he developed the menu as the head chef and has since moved on to projects of his own, such as Town Hall in San Marco and Prati Italia (formerly Moxie) at the St. Johns Town Center.

The focus at Prati Italia is stylish Italian fare, with Roman-style pizzas, fabulously balanced cocktails, and kitchen-crafted pasta. Locally owned is difficult to come by in the monolith that is the St. Johns Town Center, but Prati Italia fits the bill.
CuliVino’s products are Italian right now, and are close to what’s served at Prati Italia, but don’t be surprised if there’s more to come in the future, because there’s room to grow.
The idea came from Aaron Gottlieb and Chris at Native Sun, who approached Chef Tom about the line. It’s a great way to eat well, support local, and in the case of the take-home pizza kit, a way to bond with family over making a meal.

In a typical day, says Chef Tom, “We have a full prep team daily at Prati Italia working to not only prepare our dishes that we serve to guests who dine with us at the restaurant and order for curbside pick-up / delivery, but also who prepare and package our full line of retail products.”
You can get some of their products at Grassroots Market in Five Points, the aforementioned Native Sun in Jax Beach, online directly from Prati Italia, at Town Hall or through Front Porch Pickings’ subscription farm delivery boxes. Take a look at www.CuliVino.com website in the Culinary Products tab for a full list of retailers, products and recipe ideas.
