Visit the Cultural Council’s Holiday Pop-Up Shop: ARTSee & Shop at the Town Center

Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville comes to the St. Johns Town Center

Looking for gorgeous, original, and one-of-a-kind creations for your home, office, or to add to your collection? Then, you’re in luck – find them now at the unique pop-up shop spanning two large storefronts at in the Town Center. The Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville’s ARTSee & Shop is between Kirkland’s & Versona. Take time and bring a gang to shop. Stay for a performance or artist demonstration.

“In my new role as Coordinator of Programming and Public Engagement, I am thrilled to be part of ARTSee & Shop. It’s such a great opportunity to introduce the community to local artists and performers, give the artists a retail environment to sell their artwork, and encourage shopping locally-which is always a good idea. It’s truly a win/win for everyone,” says Ellen Cottrill, The Cultural Council’s Coordinator for Programs & Public Engagement.

ARTSee & Shop is a collaboration between the Cultural Council and Hines, the international company that manages The Markets at Town Center. Hines donated retail space to the Cultural Council to transform into a holiday pop-up shop, featuring artwork from Northeast Florida’s leading artists and creative entrepreneurs. This Hines project is part of its Global Diversity Awareness Initiative, along with programming assistance made possible by Mountain Star Capital. The result of this collaboration is a fine collection of visual art, handcrafted furniture, jewelry, fantastic wearables, books, and unique creations–something for everyone, something for you–ranging from 10$-3,800$.

Furthermore, The ARTsee and Shop will host performances by regional musicians, dancers, actors, and spoken word artists, as well as holding artist demonstrations in the artist experience space – go to their Facebook page for the schedule. “Our rich cultural diversity, spanning across five continents and 23 countries, will be explored through interactive, education opportunities. The Cultural Council is a perfect partner to incorporate our mission with the Jacksonville community,” says a Hines Spokesperson.

There’s great parking, too. Open through December 20 – Tues-Sat./11am – 7pm & Noon-6pm/Sunday at 4870-5 Big Island Drive.
