July 4th Throwback Baseball Game
The tradition carries on July 4th, 4-7pm, as the Westside and Eastside (of the Springfield Historic District) battle it out on the baseball field for bragging rights, complete with turn-of-the-century old school uniforms, equipment, umpires, announcer, food trucks and fanfare. All are welcome to this free, unique, family-friendly event at Klutho Park sponsored by VyStar Credit Union. Picnics & tailgating encouraged.Â
City of Jacksonville July 4th Fireworks
Put on your favorite red, white, and blue, and watch fireworks along the majestic St. Johns River in Downtown Jacksonville. Fireworks will be launched from the Acosta Bridge and from a barge on the St. Johns River between the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, Lexington Hotel & Conference Center, Jacksonville Riverwalk, and DoubleTree by Hilton Jacksonville Riverfront hotels. This spectacular show will begin at 9:45pm. and last approximately 15 minutes. The show will be viewable from both the North and South banks in Downtown Jacksonville in addition to viewing from Brooklyn and under the Fuller Warren Bridge where the Riverside Arts Market is held. www.specialevents.coj.net
Fourth of July Celebration at RAM
Celebrate July 4th at Riverside Arts Market under the Fuller Warren Bridge from 6-10pm. There will be fun for the whole family, and some of your favorite food trucks and makers from Riverside Arts Market will be there. Enjoy live music by Arvid Smith at 6:30pm and LPT at 8:15pm. You’ll find beer by Salt Life Food Shack and Intuition Ale Works, kid’s activities and the City of Jacksonville firework show at 9:45pm.Â
Jacksonville Beach 4th of July Fireworks
The City of Jacksonville Beach will host its annual 4th of July Fireworks show to be shot from the Pier at 9pm. Jacksonville Beach‘s Pier Parking lot will be open for seating only, so bring your chairs and blankets. Get there early for a great seat, but you will be able to see this display from just about any point on the beach. jacksonvillebeach.org
Moosehaven American Pride 4th of July
Moosehaven in Orange Park will host its Annual American Pride 4th of July from 5-10pm. With live music featuring Lyndie Burris, Katlyn Lowe, and Tony Jackson, food trucks, a Kid Zone, and fireworks over the river at 9:20pm. The event is free to the community with charges only for Kid Zone, food trucks, and parking $5 per vehicle. www.moosehaven.org
July 4th Fireworks over the Matanzas
If July 4th finds you in St. Augustine, be sure to check out the Fireworks over the Matanzas. Starting at 6pm, the All Star Orchestra performs a two-hour show filled with big band and swing music, along with all the traditional patriotic favorites in the Plaza until 8pm. At 9:30pm, the 20-minute pyrotechnic extravaganza over Matanzas Bay begins. A free park-&-ride shuttle is offered from several nearby locations on Anastasia Island with drop-off and pick-up on the east end of the Bridge of Lions, starting at 6pm. Fernandina Hometown 4th of July Celebration
July 4th Fireworks on the Beaches of Amelia Island
An annual tradition, the night sky over the Atlantic Ocean will burst with fireworks thanks to Amelia Island’s luxury resorts on the south end of Amelia Island. The fireworks can be seen for miles at the beachfront. The Ritz-Carlton’s fireworks display is at 9:15 pm, followed by the Omni Amelia Island Plantation’s at 9:30 pm. The two largest public beach parking lots nearest to these two resorts are Peter’s Point and Burney Park at American Beach.Â
Kiwanis Independence Day Festival in St. Marys
The annual St. Marys Independence Day Festival is on July 4. This year’s festival theme is “Hometown Heroes” and Sheriff Jim Proctor is the grand marshal. The parade starts at 10am at Meeting Street in St. Mary’s, Georgia. Arts & crafts vendors are scheduled from 9am-5pm. Food vendors will be onsite until 10pm in front of the park on St. Marys Street and Seagrove Street. Entertainment starts at 11am at the amphitheater at the St. Marys Waterfront Park/Howard Gilman Memorial Park. The evening culminates with a fireworks display over the river at 9pm. The St. Marys Waterfront Park is a great location to watch the show, or guests can purchase tickets for the fireworks river cruise that loads at 7pm. www.smkiwanis.comÂ
St. Simons Island 4th of July Celebration
The Annual St. Simons Island Sunshine Festival held in the Pier Village on St. Simons has been an island tradition for over 60 years. With St. Simons Island fireworks, an arts & crafts show, a 5K and 1-mile fun run and more, this is the perfect family-friendly event this season. Festival is from 10am-5pm. Bring picnic blankets, beach chairs, and your friends and family to watch the beautiful firework show along the water at Neptune Park. Free admission and free parking. St. Simons Island’s fireworks will begin at sundown on July 4th, around 9pm. Please be aware the fishing pier and southernmost end of Mallery Street will be closed to cars and pedestrian traffic beginning the morning of July 4.Â
Independence Day Celebrations on Jekyll Island
July 4th Independence Day Parade and Fireworks – Celebrate America’s birthday with an old-fashioned patriotic parade through the Historic District at 9am. Local residents and island guests are invited to decorate their bikes, golf carts, strollers, pets, and themselves, and join in the fun. Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the parade. After sunset, around 9pm on the oceanside of the Island, witness the most spectacular fireworks in the Golden Isles.Â
July 5th Red, White & Bounce at Beach Village – Enjoy a fun-filled day of waterslides, bounce houses, sidewalk sales and live music on the Village Green from noon-6pm.Â
