What’s better than donuts? Mini-donuts! They’re smaller, so that means you eat more of them. Although they have been here for a year, the buzz in Jax Beach shows no signs of stopping, no doubt due in part to all their donuts being made-to-order hot.

My favorite flavors are Strawberry Pop Tarts and Fruity Pebbles, but there are many flavors to choose from: Sweet Pete’s Sea Salt Caramel, Mint Chocolate Chip, S’mores, Maple Bacon, Strawberry Sprinkle, and Lemon Poppy to name a few. The demand has been so high that they moved a wall to make room for another prep table.

Mini Bar prioritizes serving local favorites across the menu, from Bold Bean Coffee to local beers on tap, such as Southern Swells, Engine 15, Intuition Ale Works, Veterans United, Atlantic Beach Brewing Company, Aardwolf Brewing, and Pinglehead Brewing Company. On their Sea Salt Caramel Popcorn donut both the Sea Salt Caramel recipe and popcorn are from Sweet Pete’s Candy.

You might be asking yourself: ‘It’s been a year Nate. I’m tired of the same old flavors. Why should I go back to Mini Bar Donuts?’ Well, let me tell you! The Specials! They have weekend donut specials like Holy Cannoli, Ice Cream Sandwich, Cotton Candy Pop Rocks, and Elvis, which is a vanilla cake donut, peanut butter glaze, bacon, a fresh banana slice, and if you’re +21 you can add a pipette of rum! Then, there are coffee specials like Captain Crunch Berry and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal Milk lattes.

Coffee and donuts, beer and donuts, just donuts…trust me, you need to go. To avoid lines go early and not on the weekend. They get crazy! Hours are Tuesday through Saturday 7am-5pm and Sunday 8am-2pm. Order online at www.minibardonuts.com to have your order waiting for you at the register. Find them at 1300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
