ORGANIC & Interesting

When Louden graduated from Yale, she was in debt and deeply curious about the daily minutiae of how other artists make ends meet. So she put together her first book, Living and Sustaining a Creative Life: Essays by 40 Working Artists. Since then, in addition to making work aesthetically drawing on Eva Hesse’s legacy, she’s edited The Artist as Culture Producer: Living and Sustaining a Creative Life, 40 essays by creatives telling how they live when not in the studio (we’re quite interested in William Powhida’s thoughts). She and contributor Matthew Deleget discuss the books.
