Joyce Manor

California bands Wavves and Joyce Manor stopped by the first coast mid way through their North American tour, playing to an eager crowd at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on Friday, November 3rd.

SoCal rock will forever and always be present in the music industry. There’s always been this intangible idea of a California paradise for musicians to relay to their listeners. Southern California music is a way of life for some people and a dream to be achieved for others. Wavves combines a mixture of punk, garage rock, and pop to create the soundtrack for life of SoCal guttersnipes. Boredom, drugs, babes, and the beach are common themes in the music for Wavves frontman Nathan Williams. Wavves’ latest release, You’re Welcome, stays true to their past of catchy hooks, oohh’s and aahh’s, and mixed with distorted punk riffs and driving chords. Ghost Ramp Records is your one stop shop for all things Wavves. Joyce Manor brings the same attitude but with way more emphasis on the pop punk side of things. Although a co-headlining tour for the bands, this show was definitely a Joyce Manor crowd. After Wavves warmed up the crowd with a slew of old hits and some tracks off he new album, Joyce Manor took the stage and the crowd went wild. Here are a few photos from the show incase you missed out on another great event at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. Be sure to keep up with Wavves news and tour at www.GhostRamp.com
