Warts and ALL

Folio Weekly’s own Madeleine Peck Wagner mines self-consciousness in her exhibit, The Labor of Learning. She tries to undermine the idea that fat inherently means ugly with works that are semi-abstract, blobby, lumps and bumps. At the opening, instead of talking about her work, the artist will probably talk about an obscure essay she’s reading or her dog.
