“Today’s announcement marks an important next step in One Spark’s evolution. By partnering with Bold Events, and staging One Spark at EverBank Field, we’ve created a platform to enhance the experience of all who have come to enjoy and rely on One Spark in a variety of ways – Creators, Attendees, Sponsors and Investors,” said Rummell. “Most importantly, One Spark 2017 provides Creators with an enhanced opportunity to connect with the community, network and seek validation for their ideas, and solve many of the challenges the organization faced including logistics such as access and parking, footprint design while also creating a financially stable model for the future.”

During the festival, EverBank Field will be transformed into an “Innovation Stadium,” and will welcome up to 150 Creators to receive real market validation, promote individual crowdfunding platforms and compete for cash prizes. Creators will be organized by zone within U.S. Assure Club West. Zones will include EdSpark*, TechSpark*, HealthSpark*, SocialSpark* and a section for innovative ideas that fall outside of these targeted zones. Throughout the day, attendees have the opportunity to visit booths in each zone to experience the newest innovations from Creators and provide feedback.

Beginning at 6 p.m. on both days, One Spark After Dark will come alive, a component of One Spark that attendees have come to love and expect since the festival’s inception. Music will become a more focused part of the After Dark experience with live musical performances occurring on two stages at each end of the West Plaza entrance area of EverBank Field. Attendees can enjoy this amplified music component in addition to deiverse food offerings and beer trucks, as well as fun and dynamic art and entertainment vendors participating in One Spark After Dark. After Dark attendees will also have the opportunity to engage with Creators, which will take place inside of the US Assure Club West.

“At Bold Events, we are committed to creating memorable experiences in the heart of downtown Jacksonville,” said Chad Johnson, Bold Events and Jacksonville Jaguars senior vice president of sales and services. “Our partnership with One Spark was formed with the same goal in mind—to bring innovation and excitement to the downtown area and to EverBank Field. The newly unveiled Daily’s Place is a first of its kind amphitheater designed to be a prized asset to our city and we are excited to be able to host the kickoff concert for One Spark in Daily’s Place.”

“One Spark 2017 provides Creators with an enhanced opportunity to connect with the community, network and seek validation for their ideas, and solve many of the challenges the organization faced including logistics such as access and parking, footprint design while also creating a financially stable model for the future.”

One Spark Ventures will offer multiple Spark Tanks this year, with Creators being selected by a panel of judges to participate in Spark Tank competitions within each “Spark*” zone. Judges will provide feedback and guidance during each Spark Tank, and will select the top Creator in each zone, who will be awarded $5,000 and the chance to compete in the Spark Tank Championship. The Spark Tank Championship will take place on Saturday in the stadium suite of Post to Post Links II error: No link found for term slug "jaguars" Owner Shad Khan. The winner of that competition will be awarded an additional $20,000 and will be named Top Creator of the Innovation Festival.

“Spark Tank is an important component of the Innovation Festival, as it gives the Creators a critical understanding of how to effectively present their product and themselves, and will provide practical experience for future conversations with strategic partners, investors and potential customers,” said One Spark Ventures President Chris Carter. “Those competing last year walked away with invaluable feedback that has helped them take their ideas from concept to commercial launch.”

Those wishing to participate in One Spark 2017 can visit onespark.com beginning Monday, July 10 where they will find a link to the Creator Application. There is no cost to apply, however, selected Creators will be required to pay $125 to participate at EverBank Field.

Same day registration and ticket purchases, online or at EverBank Field, will cost $10 per ticket. Registration will be available in advance with a link at onespark.com in the coming weeks.
