LA punk-funk-rocker pioneers Red Hot Chili Peppers have survived death, addiction, personnel changes and the rise and fall of the ’90s alt-rock era, selling more than 80 million records in the process and boasting a rabid following, with many having literally grown up along with the RHCP. The band has won six Grammys and been nominated into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Yet with most of the band now in their early 50s, one must wonder if they rock out with their, ahem, peppers out covered in a single Argyle sock? Only one way to find out.
8 p.m. Monday, April 24 with openers Babymetal and Jack Iron, Veterans Memorial Arena, Downtown, $99, ticketmaster.com.
