Once a longtime presence on Northeast Florida’s arts scene, a few years ago painter Christina Foard relocated to Athens, Georgia, where she continues to make inventive, colorful abstracts, many from still lifes, that diffuse the line between organic and inorganic forms. The recipient of several awards and residencies, Foard has been featured in more than 30 solo and group exhibits and devotes much of her time to public outreach and arts healing programs, including her 2008-’15 stint as the Arts in Medicine Program director at University of Florida Health Jacksonville Medical Center.
