In the beginning, storks delivered babies. Now storks deliver packages for Cornerstore.com
Junior is the top delivery stork for Cornerstore.com who is in line to be promoted to CEO when Hunter, the current CEO, announces that he is going to be promoted to the Board of Directors. The only stipulation is that Junior liberate (fire) the only human, Orphan Tulip, residing on Stork Mountain. Back when storks delivered babies a stork named Jasper fell in love with a baby girl and tried to keep her as his own.
During the mishap, the homing beacon on Tulip’s container was destroyed leaving the storks clueless as to which family she belongs to. After 18 years Tulip, who is desperate to fit in, continuously causes trouble with her home made flying machines. Therefore, Hunter wants her to be liberated.
Junior, I saved this company by getting out of babies and into package delivery. Monday, it’ll all be yours, barring some monumental screw-up…
Meanwhile, Nate is an only child who is lonely since his parents work all of the time. After his idea of having a baby brother is rejected, he seeks the service of the storks to deliver a little brother (preferably one with Ninja skills). Instead of liberating Tulip, Junior assigns her to the decommissioned mail department in an effort to keep her from causing trouble over the weekend. When Nate’s letter arrives, Tulip inserts it into the Baby Making Machine setting in motion an adventure that has potential to form lasting bonds, re-unite families, and restore the storks true mission in life.
You’re probably asking yourself how a stork, a girl, and a baby wound up in this situation.
Warner Bros. Animation, Sony Pictures Imageworks, and WaterTower Music swoop into the theaters this fall to deliver a heart-warming, wing-tapping, and hilarious family film that is just plain fun to watch. Soaring well above the rest of the animated films this year, Storks contains the most imaginative, intelligent, and original plot since Toy Story hit the theaters in 1995. Written by Nick Stoller (The Muppets, Zoolander 2 and Yes Man), the story is as brilliantly colorful as the highly detailed animation. Plus there really isn’t a villain in the mix. Only a determined sleuthing pigeon with a surfer’s accent and an extremely versatile pack of wolves whose leaders are voiced by well known comedians: Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele.
The rest of the voice actors were also on target with the delivery of their lines perfectly matching their animated facial expressions. To further enhance the positively cheerful family tone of the film, WaterTowers Music (who also provided the soundtracks for Suicide Squad, Games of Thrones, and Me Before You) had me dancing in my chair while I laughed robustly with the rest of the audience.
I’m in love with this movie! Make a plan, stick to the plan, and make it your mission to fly into theaters to enjoy this truly moving film! For more fun and activities like Delivery Dash, Tulip Builder, & Storks Memory Match go to: http://www.storksmovie.com/
