Los Angeles hip hop artist Kid Ink first came to prominence in that city’s storied and intense mixtape community. Born Brian Todd Collins, the 30-year-old rapper is known as much for his tattoos (25 and counting) as he is for his party-up hit tunes like “Show Me” and “Iz U Down.” Kid Ink’s latest, Summer in the Winter, is beefed up with L.A. hip hop guru DJ Mustard’s signature, highly non-PG-13 flavored “ratchet music.”
