The scene recently took a hit with the demise of Burro Bar, and while there’re still some worthy venues offering hot, aggro-rock ear lava, it’s always worth checking out under-the-radar joints. The Harbor Tavern has been hosting killer, lesser-known gigs for ages and this week’s lineup is no exception. Headliners are In the Whale, a Colorado-based duo with a savvy style of morbid melodic-punk, and locals Strange Friend, La-A, and The Mother Gooses round out this bitchin’ bill of punk, doom, and garage rock.
