In the mid-’80s, Living Colour charged out of the NYC music scene with their inimitable sound that hardwired rock, jazz, funk, hip hop, and metal. They scored a Grammy Award for the hit “Cult of Personality,” and though they’ve had a few personnel changes over the years, they’ve maintained their long reign as the undeniable kings of funk metal.
