DOWN: Gate Gas Station in Atlantic Beach

Atlantic Beach residents have organized in opposition to a proposed 6,500-square-foot convenience store and 10-pump gas station on 1.8 acres of land on Atlantic Boulevard. Citing everything from health concerns to increased riff-raff to the community’s shared aesthetic values, a Facebook group opposed to the project called “Atlantic Beach Cares” has more than 608 Likes.
