The Big Ticket: Preview

The Big Ticket music festival returns to Jacksonville for its sixth year in Metropolitan Park on Sunday, December 6th. Presented by X102.9 Jacksonville’s New Alternative radio station, the Big Ticket will feature an array of indie and alternative rock artists including, Twenty One Pilots, Of Monsters and Men, Glass Animals, Walk the Moon, The Neighbourhood, PVRIS, Robert Delong, Mutemath, and more. The one-day event will run from 11am, when the gates open, until 10pm.

Proving to be one of Jacksonville’s bigger and better music festivals, past artists include: the Black Keys, Fun., Manchester Orchestra, alt-J, Sublime with Rome, Bush, Jimmy Eat World, Talking Back Sunday, and 30 Seconds to Mars. This year’s festival will be no different with a wide variety of musical styles and up-and-coming performers on two different stages. There will also be plenty of food ranging from Greek and Asian cuisine, to barbecue, seafood, and soul food. The festival will also feature various local food tucks, as well as vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. For those looking to enhance their concert-going experience, beer, wine, and liquor will also be available. Bring your blankets or dance the day away while enjoying the beautiful December weather and an awesome lineup of music. All ages are welcome. Current tickets prices range from $54.50 for GA, and $99.50 for V.I.P. passes.

X102.9 will also be holding the Big Ticket Official Pre-Party, Saturday, December 5 at Underbelly Live with performances by PVRIS and Lola Rising. This will also be an all-ages event and is free with the purchase of a festival ticket. Doors open at 7:00pm and the show begins at8:00pm. Distribution for the entry wristbands will begin at the venue at noon. There is a limited number of wristbands for the Pre-Party and they will be given at a first come, first serve basis, so get there early!
