WHEN: November 21

WHERE: Jack Rabbits

Boston’s beloved reggae-rock funkateers Spiritual Rez can shake the stage like a horn-fueled earthquake. You’ll expect ocean mashed melodies, swagger-centric basslines, crisp soaring horns, and ska-infused jam sections that have come to define Rez’s progressive signature sound. While their groove is primarily rooted in rock, reggae, and funk traditions, the septet draws stylistic influence from nearly every musical movement of the 20th century. Over the past 9 years, Rez has tirelessly toured the country ten times over, cemented their status as a consistent festival favorite, and honed their exhilarating live show into an incomparable, unabashed musical extravaganza. They have shared the stage with a startlingly broad range of artistic visionaries, including Toots and the Maytals, Gogol Bordello, Dirty Heads, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Jimmy Buffett and Bernie Worrell.

By Teresa Spencer In 2002, a teenage girl from small-town Ontario burst onto the scene with a skateboard under one arm, a tie around her neck, and a snarl that said, I’m not like the other girls. Her name was Avril Lavigne, and Let Go, her multi-platinum debut album, kicked
