SHAPES OF THINGS

Northeast Florida sculptor Joe Segal uses wood and stone to create totem-like objects, which he once described as being inspired by mathematics, sacred geometry, and the phenomenon of naturally occurring forms. Segal’s work evokes both the contemporary and the primitive, splitting the difference to forge new forms.
