New York’s Slambovian Circus of Dreams are bringing their brand of rootsy psychedelica to Florida for a whirlwind weekend of shows in Florida (in Sarasota, St. Augustine and at Brooksville’s Riverhawk Festival).

The Original Cafe Eleven is presenting the Slambovians live on November 8 at 8 pm.
The Original Cafe Eleven is at 501 A1A Beach Boulevard, in St. Augustine.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 day of show.
The venue phone is 904-460-9311.
The website is http://www.originalcafe11.com.

Formed in Sleepy Hollow, New York, the Slambovians are pioneers of the alt-folk/Americana genre and paved the way for DIY before it was fashionable, turning down major label deals all along the way.

The NY TIMES says of the Slambovians, “Their songs are imbued with mystical stirrings and idealism… they take the stage by storm!”

The Slambovian’s most recent album, BOX OF EVERYTHING from 2014 is also known as “the greatest Slambovian hits you’ve never heard.”
Fiercely independent, they present both quirky Americana and Zen-like anthems in a universe entirely of their own making. Likened to an array of artists including the Waterboys, Jethro Tull, The Decemberists, a quirkier Tom Petty with an exotic instrumental arsenal, their “dusty Americana ballads” evoke Dylan, Cracker, or the Wallflowers.

The Slambovians are:  Joziah Longo – songwriter/vocals/guitar/harmonica, Sharkey McEwen – guitar/mandolin, multi-instrumentalist Tink Lloyd – accordion/cello/ukelele/theremin, melodica.
