RADICAL SOUNDS

One part agitprop spokesperson, one part DIY music stylist, for more than 25 years Ani DiFranco has kept audiences and critics guessing, with an ever-changing style that’s touched on punk, folk, hip hop, and jazz. A longtime activist for the LGBTQ community, DiFranco has been equally committed to social causes including women’s rights, Hurricane Katrina relief, and the anti-war movement. Her most recent release, Allergic to Water, is the 18th on her Righteous Babe label.
