POWER UP: JEA AND MAYOR TALKIN’ TOUGH
After the Florida Times Union’s Nate Monroe discovered JEA was preparing scripted answersfor their board of directors meetings, Mayor Curry emailed staffers, wondering “What the Hell is going on” and then began scheduling meetings with JEA board members. According to Monroe, board member Peter Bowar declined the meeting, unless it could be a public meeting, telling a Curry staffer, “It seems ironic that a meeting about sunshine law issues has to be conducted in secret.” To which the Mayor’s office replied, “At this point we are marking you as declined. Let us know if something changes.”
Oh, snap.
