THE DARK ARTS

While people surely toss around the term “Renaissance Man,” freely, Drew Edward Hunter surely fits the bill. Among many things in his staggering resume, Hunter has performed as Bozo the Clown on television, filmed a safari in East Africa, and designed two wax museums and two Ripley’s Believe It or Not! exhibits, and as the longtime Vice President of Creative Design for Sally Corporation, Hunter has helped create animatronic figures and dark-tinged rides for amusement and theme parks around the world. Unsurprisingly, Hunter is also an accomplished visual artist and his latest exhibit, SPECTRUM II, features imagery born from Hunter’s sometimes-darkly imaginative mind.
