Hemming Park stalwarts, Vagabond Coffee Co. has opened a brick and mortar in Murray Hill on Edgewood Ave. While the baby blue caravan still owns Hemming, the coffee shop has expanded its location and opened the doors to more customers and a wider food menu. This means more pastries, more coffee, and more room to sit and chat. It’s hard to go wrong with anything at Vagabond, but it is summer, so try a cold brew to get you through the heat. Drink it down with a scone or a mini-loaf, and you’ll know you made the right decision.

Bold Bean has already delighted customers with locally roasted coffee and delicious goodies from Knead Bakeshop. Now, Bold Bean’s beach location (2400 S. 3rd Street, Jacksonville Beach) will be serving salads and soups made by The Perfect Pear Catering Company. The Roasted Beet Salad and the Chilled Corn Bisque are gluten-free and vegan, while the chicken salad is gluten-free and has organic chicken and lettuce. With coffee, baked goodies, and a healthy lunch menu, customers can eat and drink their way through the day, all without ever having to leave Bold Bean.

Sippers Coffeehouse is a bit hidden off Gate Parkway. And Sipper’s owner Marcy understated manner – she calls Sippers’ fresh roasted coffee “A cup of kindness” – proves she may prefer it that way. This cozy coffee shop is a Southside gem with a friendly vibe and couches to spare. Try some fresh muffins, baked daily, along with an Americano. Sippers has vegan and Paleo options, with soy milk, almond milk, and gluten-free muffins that still taste just as good. The brunch menu includes coffee, tea, Italian soda, pastries, sandwiches, wraps, and more. There’s plenty to choose from, whether you’re craving a snack or a full meal. Whatever you’re in the mood for, Sippers is happy to serve.
