The Barden Bellas are back Pitches!!! But this time they have gotten a little too comfortable and developed a bit of an ego. They are not the same underdogs that made us fall in love with them in the beginning as we watched them rise to Acapella stardom.
These Barden Bellas are more concerned with the performance that leads them to lose who they are and their sound. And their performance for the President of the United States on his birthday at the Kennedy Center where Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson) gives the whole world a view of her flower down under.
This causes suspension for the Bellas who cannot hold auditions, sing the National Anthem or go on tour. But these are not the only problems that the Bellas face: there is the secret that Beca (Anna Kendrick) is keeping from the group, the future since they are seniors and Da Sound Machine (DSM) which is a German group that is now a fan favorite and taken over the Bella’s tour.
Now to be reinstated and gain back their title the Bellas have to win at Worlds where the most talented Acapella groups from around the world come to compete. No problem right?
There is also the subtle romance between Fat Amy and Bumper (Adam De Vine). Will they ever be together?
So many questions to be answered and they will be in the only way the Barden Bellas can, with style, finesse, and a whole lot of funny and craziness.
Now I could tell you about my favorite scene or about the new Bella that enters the ranks and how and who gets the Bellas back on track but what fun would that be.
I will tell you this; Pitch Perfect 2 is about discovery and rediscovery, finding out how to deal with the real world, starting a new chapter but not forgetting the most important thing which is sisterhood, the weirdos in your life that will be there for you no matter what.
Pitch Perfect 2 is one of the best comedies that I have seen this summer, funny, crazy, emotional and has your favorites coming back for another take such as: Jessie (Skyler Astin), Benji (Ben Platt), Aubrey (Amy Camp), Gail (Elizabeth Banks), and John (John Michael) along with newbies: Komissar (Brigitte Hjort Sorensen-Game of Thrones) and Pieter Kramer (Flua Borg-Photobomb) from the German group called Da Sound Machine and Emily (Hailee Steinfield- Ender’s Game) the newbie to the Bellas.
Pitch Perfect 2 is now in theaters! So I recommend that you go and see it now!
