Hailing from Jacksonville Beach, the reggae band JAHMEN has been recording and performing their music since 2011. Originally founded by brothers Adam & Alex Leyva and long-time friend Evan Cleaveland, the group has performed shows with many renowned artists in the reggae genre such as JBOOG, Passafire, John Brown’s Body, The Green, The Movement, Barrington Levy, Romain Virgo and many others. While JAHMEN usually prefers to let their music speak for them, they draw inspiration from classic reggae artists such as Bob Marley and The Wailers, Peter Tosh, Jacob Miller, Denis Brown, and Israel Vibration. Combining an explosive stage presence with their unique sound, JAHMEN brings an electrifying show to their audiences. They strive to remove the social and political barriers that separate people from one another through writing music of love, positivity, and unification to inspire those of all ages, races, genders, and cultural backgrounds to work towards a brighter future for us and our world’s children. JAHMEN is participating in this years One Spark Festival in hopes to receive funding for a new, more reliable means of transportation for their upcoming tour.
