JTA provides public transportation for residents in the Old Arlington area. The community is served by four fixed routes and a Community Shuttle:

Route 9: Arlington Expressway Provides 15-minute frequency service from Regency to Downtown Jacksonville. It is a future First Coast Flyer Bus Rapid Transit route.

Route 19: Arlington – Offers a 30-minute frequency that connects to Town & Country Shopping Center, Jacksonville University, University Park Library, Walmart and Regency Square Mall. Route 19 also runs to Downtown Jacksonville.

Route 23: Townsend/Southside – Local route that connects to areas on the Southside, Jacksonville University and Regency Square Mall via Merrill, Townsend and Arlington Expressway.

Route 50: University – Crosstown route connecting University Park Library, Jacksonville University, Town & Country Shopping Center and Jones College. The route runs the entire University Boulevard corridor to St. Augustine Rd. and connects with key radial routes allowing passengers to access other Southside employment and activity centers without being forced through Downtown.

Route 308: Arlington Community Shuttle – You can board at one of three designated stops (Townsend & Merrill; Arlington Expressway & Arlington Road; or Regency Square Hub) at a regularly scheduled time – just as you would ride a regular JTA bus. Or, for other locations in Arlington on the Community Shuttle route, you can request a premium curbside service for an additional fee. To reserve a ride, call JTA at (904) 598-8724 at least two hours in advance or up to three calendar days before you plan to travel. With additional capacity for deviations, this flexible service allows convenient transit access throughout the Old Arlington area.

JTA encourages customers to purchase passes. For most customers, passes offer the best value and are the easiest way to pay. Passes of varying lengths are available at JTA transit stations and area Walgreens and Winn Dixie stores. Adult cash fare (exact change only) is $1.50 per trip on local routes and trolleys. Seniors with a valid senior STAR Card may ride for free. There is an additional charge for Community Shuttle curbside service.

For more information about riding JTA, call Customer Service at 904.630.3100; TDD 904.630.3191; or visit www.jtafla.com.
