ART

A complete combination of all colors in the visible spectrum, the color white is the collective theme of the engaging new exhibit WHITE at the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville. The collection features works by 11 20th-century and contemporary international artists including Tara Donovan, Paul Graham, Ann Hamilton, Vik Muniz, James Nares, Kenneth Noland, Jules Olitski, Robert Rauschenberg, Rachel Whiteread, Bill Viola and Les Levine (pictured, David’s Choice, cloth on canvas, painted white, 1963), addressing ideas like the disparity in socioeconomic classes, inequity of male and females roles in domestic labor, and ruminations on minimalism.
