Some things last a long time. Some things combined with other things become eternal. Christmas and Bing Crosby – now, there’s a pair that will always be together. Multiple generations have and will appreciate the Christmas season more, due to the talent of that one man.

He once said, “Unless we make Christmas an occasion to share our blessings, all the snow in Alaska won’t make it ‘white’.” Craft beer makes it easy for you to share your blessings with those who appreciate uniquely created microbrews. Some establishments in the Greater Jacksonville area have great gift ideas for beer drinkers. Also, there are some awesome events for the month of December:

Engine 15 Brewing Company (1500 Beach Blvd, Jax Beach, 904.249.2337) will be tapping their Winter Seasonal, Heavy Engine Belgian Quad, on Thursday, Dec 4, in addition to their regular Ladies’ Night (1st Thurs of every month – FREE manicures, $3 E15 Pints + $9 Bottomless Wine Glass for ladies). They are also selling their famous firetruck gift boxes packed with Engine 15 goodness for $35, $45 & $55. You can get E15 gift certificates online this season as well (onelink.quickgifts.com/merchant/engine-15-brewing-company) for your easy shopping pleasure.

Brew, Bottle and Tap (835 Park Ave, Orange Park, 904.624.1109) has recently opened and is a great place to get something on your homebrewing significant other’s wish list.

Just Brew It (2670 Rosselle Street, 904.381.1983) is another homebrewing supply emporium with loads of stuff for the homebrewer.

Veterans United Craft Brewery (8999 Western Way #104, 904.253.3326) They recently tapped their brand new Imperial India Pale Ale (9% ABV). They also recently received a brand new shipment of gorgeous growlers – a great gift idea. That’s not all! They have t-shirts, hats and some swanky, new gift cards as well, all perfect holiday gifts. They may have their canning line up and running before Christmas, too. Cans of delicious Veterans United beer would make phenomenal stocking stuffers! Remember their usual Beer and Board Game Wednesdays, live music Thursday nights, brewery tours on Saturdays and food trucks on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays!

Beer:30 (1271 King Street, 904.388.0033) has an impressive selection of Christmas beers available – PLUS, they have recently added growler fills to their lineup.

Intuition Ale Works (720 King Street, 904.683.7720) is offering a Cooking with Intuition package for the holidays this year. It includes a copy of their extremely popular cookbook, a Belgian snifter, a quart growler with a voucher for a fill, koozies, stickers and an Intuition holiday card for $50.

Bold City Brewery (2670 Rosselle Street, 904.379.6551) wants you to join them for Sensory Saturday, Dec 6! They will have the very talented Super Excitables Band performing in the Brewery. Take advantage of the JTA Riverside Trolley and bring in a new, unwrapped toy for a needy child for the Toys for Tots drive. You’ll receive a free pint card for making some child’s Christmas a little more merry. Be sure to enjoy a glass of their Winter seasonal, The Super Secret Stout!
