The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston houses one of the most extensive collections of costumes, historic textiles, fashion photography and illustrations, as well as haute couture pieces by such internationally acclaimed designers as Karl Lagerfeld, John Galliano, Christian Lacroix, and Geoffrey Beene.
In collaboration with the Boston museum, The Cummer hosts a unique exhibit exploring the connection between fashion, the designers who create it, the models who wear it, and the public’s experience with it through the media. The Cummer’s permanent collection is also displayed in conjunction with the exhibit, with works focused on the importance of fashion and style.
