“I have complete faith in the continued absurdity of whatever’s going on,” says satirical news commentator Jon Stewart. That’s a healthy attitude. To do his work, he needs a never-ending supply of stories about people doing crazy, corrupt and hypocritical things. The subject matter may makes him sad and angry, but it may stimulate him to think of funny stuff to entertain and educate his audience – and earn him a very good income. Try his approach; the absurdity you experience can be used to your advantage.
