This ridiculously funny film will have your stomach cramping with laughter. Ben (Kevin Hart) has big hopes and dreams of becoming an Atlanta Police Officer. When Ben gets accepted into the police academy he hopes he will finally gain the respect and blessing of James (Ice Cube) who is totally opposed to Ben marrying his sister Angela played by the beautiful (Tika Sumpter). Ice Cube who plays a hotshot, upstanding cop; invites Ben along to shadow him on a 24 hour shift, He is confident that after the ride along Ben will forget about becoming a police officer and his sister. Kevin Hart who plays the fast talking Ben is in for the ride of his life.
Ice cube who has had a long successful career has come along way from his N.W.A. gangsta rap roots. The rapper turned actor has proven every day is a good day, with films including Boyz n the Hood, Are we there yet, Barbara Shop, Friday, Next Friday and Friday after next. Ice Cube is also known for being a music producer, film producer and director.
Kevin Hart who’s face is no stranger in Hollywood, is proving he is more than just a Grown Little Man. He has gone from stand up to standing out and his fans are loving it. Kevin Hart has starred in films like Soul Plane, Think Like a Man, Laugh at my Pain, 35 and Ticking, The Five Year Engagement, Meet Dave and Grudge Match. Kevin Hart is also the star and executive producer of the T.V. series The Real Husbands of Hollywood.
Tika Sumpter is quickly being named among the who’s who of actresses in Hollywood and is demonstrating she is more than a hot body with a beautiful face. Tika who started out modeling, currently stars on Tyler Perry’s T. V. drama The Haves and the Have Not’s, and BET sitcom The Game. She is also in Madea’s Christmas, Think Like a Man, Sparkle, and Salt.
Ride along also stars John Leguizamo, Bruce McGill, Bryan Callen, singer Jacob Latimore and veteran actor Lawrence Fisburne from Boyz n the Hood, What’s Love Got to Do with It, The Matrix and Akeela and the Bee.
