This year’s Black Friday annual event is upon us! This coming Friday, Nov 29th, is the day to support independent record stores and celebrate your love of vinyl by actually going into your favorite temple of vinyl worship and participating in everyone’s favorite new Holiday presented by Record Store Day.
As previously announced, Warner Bros. Records has announced a series of vinyl albums, singles and various artifacts that have been created exclusively for this event. Beginnings today, go to www.recordstoreday.com to hear exclusive track premiers:

The first single off Bad Things self-titled debut album. Guided by producer Rob Schnapf (Elliott Smith, Saves the Day), the Los Angeles five-piece take the listener on a journey of emotions from insistent yearning, through urgent, punk fury, to bold, New Wave-influenced experimentalism, to heavy, shimmering hard rock and spirit-lifting funk. This 7″ single features “Anybody” on Side A and another album track, “Say It Again,” on Side B, exclusive for Black Friday.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.: “The Speed of Things” – Single-pocket jacket, regular-weight black vinyl 12″ – Limited to 3,000 copies
The Speed of Things, the Detroit band’s latest full-length album, is being pressed to vinyl for the first time. Includes a digital download card. Mastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering.
Flaming Lips: “Peace Sword” – Single-pocket jacket, regular-weight black vinyl 12″ – Limited to 5,000 copies / CD EP – Limited to 3,000 copies
The vinyl and CD editions of the band’s upcoming six-song platter featuring new music inspired by the upcoming feature film Ender’s Game and released with exclusive artwork. Includes a digital download card. Mastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Worth noting that track 6, “Assassin Beatle – The Dream Is Ending,” is roughly 10 minutes of mind-melting sonic matter and is exclusive to this vinyl and CD artifact.

NONONO: “Pumpin Blood” CD EP – Limited to 3,000 CD copies
Stina Wappling with production duo Astma & Rocwell formed in Stockholm, Sweden during the spring of 2012. The three Swedes found instant chemistry, and soon became the trio now known as NONONO, a name which highlights an important philosophy for the band.
Exclusively available for Black Friday this debut EP by NONONO features a never before released remix of “Pumpin Blood” by CSS.

This vinyl double LP features outtakes recorded during sessions for Red Hot Chili Peppers’ 2011 studio album I’m With You, produced by Rick Rubin. Previously released as a series of nine individual 7″ singles (from August 2012 to July 2013), the 17 tracks are being released together for the first time on limited-edition numbered vinyl. They have been pressed at RTI and mastered for vinyl by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering.

Guilty As Charged / I Run Empty VINYL EXCLUSIVE only available at Independent Record Stores.
The “Guilty As Charged / I Run Empty” includes one track on each side, “Guilty As Charged” and “I Run Empty” for the first time on vinyl. Both songs were recorded by Mike Elizondo & released digitally as bonus tracks on Tegan and Sara’s 7th studio album, Heartthrob – their highest charting album of their careers.
