Images of America: Jacksonville Beach is the newest addition to publications available for purchase at the Beaches Museum and History Park. Published by Arcadia Press, the book contains a wealth of images and information on the history of Jacksonville Beach for over 100 years. Beginning in 1884 when a few families moved to the beach to live and work in tents in a town they named Ruby, to today’s images of tourists and locals, the book represents a concise history of the “The World’s Finest Beach”. To view the Museum archives that contain some of the 20,000 images used to compile the book, you may visit the Museum, or access the website at www.BeachesMuseum.org.
