Brickbats to the Florida Department of Education for constantly changing the rules on school performance by raising the state’s grading system and adopting the controversial policy of not allowing a school’s letter grade to drop more than one letter grade. Duval County Public Schools Superintendent Nikolai Vitti told The Florida Times-Union, “We must demand that we have a consistent way to measure academic performance in Florida or public confidence in the accountability system will continue to erode.”
