AMADEUS

The Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, in collaboration with Players by the Sea, presents Peter Shaffer’s Tony award-winning play, Amadeus. Made into an Academy award-winning film of the same name, Amadeus (Erik DeCicco as Amadeus) portrays the tortured relationship between the young genius, Mozart, and his mentor-turned rival, Salieri. This unique production takes place in Jacoby Symphony Hall at the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts. As the orchestra takes the stage with actors, Mozart’s music becomes a character in itself. Throughout the play, the actors – and audience – will be immersed in Mozart’s famous works.
