River City Pride, Jacksonville’s annual celebration of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community, will include a number of fantastic events this year, but the week will culminate with a massive festival on October 21st. The unforgettable day of fun and entertainment is sure to be a hit with the whole family.
Four American Idol finalists will be headlining the festival: Blake Lewis (season six runner-up), Gina Glocksen (also from season six), David Hernandez (season seven) and Syesha Mercado (season seven’s third place finalist). Also performing are singer/actor Jason Dottley, and locals Sunbears!, Gender-X and Aerial Tribe. In addition to the great musical acts, the River City Pride Festival will also include a Kidz Zone (complete with bounce houses and face painting), vendors, delicious food, arts & crafts and much, much more.
The River City Pride Festival is a free event located at Riverside Artists Square under the Fuller-Warren Bridge, where RAM is held each week. For more information, visit www.rivercitypride.com.
