spirit of suwannee

Has the winter of 2011 got you down with an overloaded case of cabin fever? Well, springtime is here. The dogwoods are budding and those pesky no-see-um gnats have awoken from their slumber with a ravenous appetite. Despite those annual aerial bedbugs (they’ll die by Easter), getting outside in North Florida this time of year is a true delight and the friendly folks at the Suwannee Music Park want to show off with their annual spring music festivals and beautiful facility.
Located just north of Live Oak, the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is a one-of-a-kind music park and premier campground nestled on the shady banks of the historic, tea-colored Suwannee River in North Florida. The Spirit of the Suwannee hosts a variety of events throughout the year.
The grounds include 500+ acres for camping, hiking, canoeing, bird watching, jogging, observation at the world’s largest bat house, putt putt golf and pro-quality disc golf, a honey bee observation exhibit, beautiful rental cabins, RV parking with full hookups, electric and water sites, shower and bath houses, full service restaurant, golf cart rentals, the Arts and Crafts Village and a Country Store. You can just hang your hammock between two trees, put your feet up and relax as you listen to the quiet sounds of nature all around you… until the music strikes up.
