Alt metal act Glorious Gunner will unveil their CD Birth on February 5th and will be hosting a release party at Freebird Live to celebrate. Midnight Sun and Stage Blue will also perform. • A song by local electro pop mainstays Sunbears! will air on Nick Jr.’s Yo Gabba Gabba! on February 7th. The ditty, called ‘Imagination Adventure,’ will be part of the “Jingles” segment of the show and features animation by Australian artist Isobel Knowles. Also in Sunbears! news, the band successfully raised enough funds with their Kickstarter campaign to record their new CD sometime in March. Huzzah! The boys will be playing a free show at Birdies on February 24th • Area alt rockers Down Theory will be holding a CD release party on February 8th in support of their debut effort Invisible Empire. Come out to the Freebird to party with the band and see guests Bambi Shoots Back, Lullwater, Daliss and Skewd. • Finally, work is in progress for the next Jacksonville Music Video Revival! Videos can be submitted at the Letter Shop (228 E. Forsyth St.) and should be in .mov format. Email jack@jackdiablo.com for more information. The Thrasher-Horne Center for the Arts is celebrating its seventh year serving the Orange Park area. Situated on the St. Johns River Community College campus, the 1,750-seat theater hosts a variety of performances each season including concerts, Broadway shows, a speaker series, children’s theatre and much more. In addition to live entertainment, the Thrasher-Horne also boasts two art galleries open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm and one and a half hours prior to performances and during intermission.
