Q: How long have you been with the Roar Kayla?
A: I’ve been with the Roar 2 years.

Q: How did you get involved with the Roar?
A: I grew up cheering and dancing my entire life. I had a family member cheered for the Roar in 1999 and I’ve always wanted to do it.

Q: Do you have a favorite part of town that you like to hang out in?
A: I really like downtown area, I think it’s beautiful. I love the restaurants and just how you have to walk to get to places.

Q: What do you enjoy doing on your time off?
A: I love hanging out with Skylar (daughter). We do mommy/daughter things all the time like getting our nails done and stuff like that. It’s just a lot of fun. She loves shopping so she makes it easy on me to be a good mom. I really enjoy hanging out with my family. When I get the opportunity to hang out with Josh (husband) and Skylar that’s my favorite time too.

Q: What else does Skylar love doing?
A: She loves watching movies. She can sit there all day and sing songs, she loves singing. Anything with music. I’ll teach her routines and she’s the star of the show.

Q: How old is she?
A: 3 ½ yrs old.

Q: What type of food do you like?
A: I like Mexican but I’m also a big fan of lasagna. So I’ll eat that any time that I can.

Q: Favorite restaurant?
A: La Napolera is number 1. Italian, we like Carrabbas.

Q: What’s your favorite dish at Carrabbas?
A: I get the sirloin marsala when I’m there if I’m not getting the lasagna. I do like steak too. I’m a meat eater.

Q: What do you have a weakness for?
A: Any chocolate. My husband tries to hide it a drawer and I always tend to find it so there’s no point in hiding it. I love chocolate. Last night I had 3 bags of mini valentines M&M’s. He caught me.

Q: What kind of music do you like listening to?
A: I like anything, pop, rap, anything you can dance to, country. I don’t listen to any more than the other.

Q: What was your last concert you went to?
A: John Mayer. He was amazing. My husband and I love him so it was a good thing we got to do together.

Q: What’s your personality on the squad?
A: Everyone calls me “the mom.” Because I am the only mom on the squad. I think I’m funny too…I’m the mom, I guess we’ll stick with that.

Q: Tell us something about you that most people wouldn’t know?
A: I’m actually really good at fishing. The first time I went I caught a catfish in 0.5 seconds. It was really big and my husband was really jealous.

Alhambra’s WEST SIDE STORY is anything but Krupke’d!

Alhambra’s current production of WEST SIDE STORY touts one of the best casts I’ve seen on their stage, and it rivals a few of the touring companies I’ve seen recently.  It is a very moving production, and while there is nothing that youngsters cannot see, it is a tragedy, so
